Mission of the International committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is realizing the project on clearing and partial repair of the irrigation canal in the village Tsorbis of Znaursky region in South Ossetia. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the representative of the mission on public relations Marina Tedety. «The part of the irrigation canal providing the farmland of the inhabitants with water has been damaged as a result of the landslip and did not function. There are 126 court yards in the village Tsorbis, the population had problems with irrigation of their lots, - Tedety has told. - On behalf of the villagers their representative has addressed to us with the request of rendering them assistance in resolving this problem. Our engineers have studied the condition of the irrigating system and have made a decision to develop and realize its restoration project».

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity has sent congratulation to the President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega on the occasion of celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the victory of the National Sandinistas Revolution. The meeting of the South-Ossetian delegation at the Geneva discussions with co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions, who have arrived in South Ossetia with working visit, has taken place in Tskhinval. A special representative of the EU Pierre Morel, the representative of the United Nations Anti Turunen and a special OSCE representative Giedrius Chekuolis have taken part in the meeting under the chairmanship of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev. At the beginning of the meeting Chochiev has underlined that the visit of the co-chairmen to the RSO is important, as position of the country leadership has been heard on site.

On July, 19, 2011 the working meeting of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post conflict settlement Chochiev B., the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dzhioev M. К, the State Counselor of the President of the RSO Kochiev K.K. with the co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions on safety in Transcaucasia has taken place in the Republic of South Ossetia.

The delegation of South Ossetia will participate in the work of the second working group of the Geneva discussions, but it will not discuss the refugee problem. It has been declared by the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev at the briefing in Tskhinval after the meeting with co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions. He is convinced that nevertheless the voice of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will be heard through the United Nations General Assembly.

Despite numerous assurances of the President of Georgia from high European tribunes about his aspiration to peace, after a while one can hear other words about aspiration « to return the lost territories» and intention to hold a celebration in Abkhazia.

Having suffered military defeats in 2004 and 2008, modern Georgian authorities are aiming for revenge. It has been declared by the President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity at the round table- «Institute of the presidential power in the Republic of South Ossetia: the stored experience and the prospection», - which has taken place in Tskhinval. As he has said, Tbilisi realized that nothing will be changed using military methods; - therefore various plans are developed to entice South Ossetia into the political orbit of Georgia.
