On 15 January at 13:05 during patrolling a country road two kilometers north from the JPKF observation point “Pauk” an armored vehicle exploded on an antitank mine. As a result of the explosion were severely wounded two soldiers of the JPKF Russian battalion.

At 16:10 the RSO Ministry of Interior received information that in a bordering with Tskhinval village by Georgian Special Service personnel were abducted three citizens of the RSO in a Niva vehicle. One of them managed to escape.
Today in the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia Tskhinval was hold inauguration of newly elected President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity. Eduard Kokity in the presence of the Chairman of the RSO Parliament Znaur Gassiev, Supreme judge of the RSO Irina Lalieva as well as head of the Alanian Eparchy Bishop George swore allegiance to the people of the Republic of South Ossetia on the constitution of the RSO. The solemn ceremony was hold at the state concert hall “Chermen”.
Today to Tskhinval to the inauguration ceremony for the President of the Republic of South Ossetia arrived an impressive delegation from Abkhazia headed by the Parliament speaker of the Republic of Abkhazia Nugzar Ashuba. The delegation also included Chairman of the State Committee on estate administration Daud Tarba, Omar Kvarchia and others.
