Vadim Brovtsev: We need to regularly organize humanitarian actions with experience exchange

The Prime Minister of South Ossetia, Vadim Brovtsev, held a working session Leningor district the Republic. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the KGB of South Ossetia, Boris Attoev, Chief of Control Department of the Presidential Administration of South Ossetia Vladimir Ushakov, Head of Administration of Leningor district of South Ossetia Alan Dzhussoev, as well as senior officials of the Interagency Humanitarian Action (IHA) "Mutual Assistance. Cooperation. Security”. The discussion focused on the priority fields in socio-economic development of Leningor district of South Ossetia. At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister once again thanked the IHA for the "well-planned and organized action”.

"I am convinced that this action was urgently needed. Highly skilled specialists of the Russian Center of Paramedics are assisting the residents not only in Leningor district, but also in other districts of the Republic ", he said.
Vadim Brovtsev noted an acute shortage of local staff.
"Even if we construct a huge building for the hospital, we can hardly solve the problem with lack of local specialists. Therefore, we need to have a comprehensive approach to this issue, and organize humanitarian actions with exchange of experience on a regular basis ", he said.
In his turn, the Deputy Head of the Border Guard, Colonel-General Yevgeny Inchin assured the audience that this was not a one-off event, "is one element in the system to be built here, and which will set the grounds for our permanent work here."
"This action was carried out on behalf of the President of Russia and upon the request of the authorities of South Ossetia - said Inchin. – Humanitarian section is a key element of our work. We brought the best specialists from Russia, most experienced professionals. The regimes that we organize at the border, should not lead to any kind of humanitarian problems. Therefore, the system is built up so that the long-lasting humanitarian contacts are not lost. We also brought books, school books and we will take part in the Day of Knowledge ".
The meeting continued with discussion of issues related to regular supplies to the district, as well as the development of free economic zone there. The Prime Minister tasked the Head of the district administration to prepare a number of investment platforms to be integrated them into the year 2011 budget development programs.
Concerning the problems of education, Brovtsev pointed to the fact that the number of weekly classes of Russian and Ossetian languages in schools should be increased.
"We need to seriously work in this direction, to increase the number of classes of Ossetian and Russian languages", he said.
The meeting heard the report of the Head of Leningor district Alan Dzhussoev.
In his report he pointed to current major challenges that the district faced, as well as shared his vision on possible solutions.
"Taking into account the fact that Leningor district has been under the jurisdiction of Georgia for 20 years, the situation in the region is rather complicated. But real results have been achieved in these two years, and the population is gradually returning to its historical roots. We intend to continue to actively work in this direction ", - he said.
During the working visit to Leningor district of South Ossetia, Vadim Brovtsev also saw the Museum of Princes Bibilovs and the border guards’ military camp under construction.
