At the end of the XXth century the ossetian nation, as in the North so in the South has experienced such cataclysms that became tragical, and they will remain forever in our history». That is spoken in the appeal of the South-Ossetian branch of the All-Russian national social movement «Styr Nykhas» to the ossetian people, the peoples of the Caucasus, the international community.
«We heroically stood up to a large number of miseries, have protected our language, our traditions and customs, our culture. There is no nation without these components.
The peoples of the Caucasus are worthy so that their dreams came true, so that there was full mutual understanding between them, so that all our acts met the motto - «The Caucasus without conflicts, the Caucasus without wars, the Caucasus in a uniform family of the peoples of Great Russia».
The delegates of the VIth conference of the South-Ossetian branch of "Styr Nykhas" with serious concern mark the constant intensity around the Republic of South Ossetia, being the direct consequence of the policy, carried out by the georgian authorities.
Purposefully the protégé of the USA Mikhail Saakashvili and his surroundings in the georgian management, realizing the plans of their patrons, do their best so that to break the earlier positively moving ahead processes of settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict, in which Russia plays an important stabilizing role.
In a view of the present situation, when there is an escalation of intensity from the georgian side, South Ossetia is compelled and ready to defend its independence. One should remember, that in due time Georgia had used the right of nations on self-determination, having left the structure of the USSR. The ossetians also have the same right. The ossetians is one nation. The North and the South are only geographical indications.
The national referendum, held by the Republic of South Ossetia, has confirmed the determination of the people to continue its movement on a way of its independent democratic statehood and to achieve recognition of its state independence by the international community.
All the attempts to bring South Ossetia under the jurisdiction of Georgia are absolutely unpromising. The return to the past is a return to mass infringements of the rights of people of South Ossetia, a return to the next series of genocide of the ossetian people, a return to war. The modern South Ossetia can build its relations with Georgia as an independent, equal in rights, state.
Declaring in words about their adherence to peace, the present heads of Georgia continue an escalation of intensity, bearing the plans of capture of South Ossetia, and at that the traitors, appointed by the management of Georgia to the posts of a puppet "president" and " temporary administration " in a Kurta sector (6 settlements of South Ossetia, occupied by Georgia, with a georgian population) of the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict, are also counted on.
These people, following the way of national treachery, have doomed themselves to an eternal shame and bear responsibility not only before the ossetian people, but also before all the peoples of the Caucasus, for there is no crime more shameful and heavy than treason to one"s Fatherland.
The VIth conference of the South-Ossetian branch of the All-Russian national social movement " Styr Nykhas " calls all the compatriots to take active participation in the work of the all-national organization so that to raise its authority and activity in decision of social and economic problems, to raise the standard of living of the population. The VIth congress of the ossetian people, that takes place in September of the current year, is considered by us not as a usual forum. It should confirm the will of the nation on self-determination, its firm aspiration to protection of its rights on association of the north and the south of Ossetia, on upholding and protection of the primordial, paternal ground, historically belonging to it.
Considering today"s realities, the management of South Ossetia does not put any ultimatums, unlike the georgian side, and is ready to continue the peace talks.
The peace settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict is the single comprehensible outlook.
The necessity of restoration of the historical justice concerning South Ossetia is a necessary act for the political mode, basing upon the fascist and national-extremist chauvinistic ideology, will threaten the rights and freedom of the ossetian people as long as the criminal essence of this mode is completely revealed and condemned by the world community.
The delegates of the VIth conference of the South-Ossetian branch of the All-Ossetian national social movement "Styr Nykhas" address to the supreme political management of Russia, with which the people of South Ossetia connects the centuries-old brotherhood and historical commonality, to Russia, that is the only guarantor of peacekeeping in the region, to the peoples of the Caucasus, to the international community, with the request to recognize the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia and to establish associated relations with it.
We are for the Caucasus without wars and confrontations, for the interethnic and interreligious consent.
