Georgian authorities did not stop organizing provocations against South Ossetia, and international monitors, who in accordance with Medvedev-Sarkozy plan should ensure security of South Ossetia are ineffectively implementing their duties", said RSO Foreign Minister Murat Djioev commenting on the Georgian side"s statements about the detention of Georgian citizens.
According to him, "on 27 February, two Georgian citizens, who illegally crossed the border, were detained on the territory of South Ossetia. Both detainee had IDs of armed activities" participants. The Law Enforcement Bodies of South Ossetia are currently carrying out the necessary investigation measures".
"One can clearly say that these persons who participated in armed activities against South Ossetia in August 2008 had again penetrated the territory of South Ossetia, and this is a gross violation of law", said Djioev.
The RSO MFA states "these actions of Georgia speak for the fact that the Georgian authorities are not going to follow the security recommendations adopted at Geneva consultations".
