The Ministries of Finance of the Russian Federation, South Ossetia and Abkhazia signed ininter-agency agreements on allocation of financial aid by Russia for South Ossetia equal to 2,8 bil. RUR and 2,36 bil. RUR for Abkhazia.
For the Russian side, the documents were signed by the Deputy finance Minister Anton Siluanov, for the South Ossetian side – Deputy Chairman of the Government, Finance Minister Inal Pukhaev, for the Abkhaz side – Vice Prime-Minister Beslan Kubrava.
As stressed by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of RSO Inal Pukhaev, "the signing of this agreement is an important fact bearing both political and practical weight. The Republic today is in a difficult financial situation after the Georgian aggression and the strengthening of its budget will help normalization and rehabilitation of infrastructure, as well as implementation of social programs". The financial aid has been allocated for social and economic development and balancing the budget of the Republic".
The Russian Federation has provided financial aid to South Ossetia and Abkhazia within the frames of international financial assistance to these states".
