A session of the Government under the presidency of the Prime Minister Vadim Brovtsev took place in Tskhinval.
The first issue discussed by the members of the gpovernment was a draft law on amendments to the Law of SO on the state budget for 2010. The Finance Minister of South Ossetia Irina Sytnik explained the amendments refered to increasing of certain budget lines of some of the ministries and agencies by reducing other costs within the budgets of these ministries. After a brief discussion, the participants unanimously approved the draft.
The discussion continued with proposed increasing of salaries of the Printing House of RSO, TV "IR" and the state printed media. The ministers understood the issue and voted to approve the new salaries of the media.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev spoke about salary increase for employees of the Foreign Ministry working in diplomatic missions abroad. This proposal was also unanimously supported by members of the Government.
The Foreign Minister also presented the issue of prolongation of the ICRC's presence in South Ossetia. Murat Dzhioev had positively assessed the ICRC's activities in South Ossetia, saying that it is the only international organization working in the Republic after the events of August 2008. During the discussion, Vadim Brovtsev proposed to assign the MFA as the host organization for the ICRC, instead of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, as was indicated in the draft resolution. The government members voted for prolongation of the ICRC's presence in South Ossetia for another year with the proposed amdnmenent agreed.
The ministers voted for the amendment to the 6 Agusut 2010 Decree of the Government of South Ossetia, regulating the salaries of employees of representative and executive authorities of South Ossetia.
In conclusion, the meeting heard the Minister of Education and Science of South Ossetia Ariana Dzhioeva, who proposed to adopt standard provisions on pre-school and secondary educational institutions, as well as the terms of additional education. This issue was also unanimously supported by the members of the cabinet.
