The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity on behalf of the people of South Ossetia and for himself personally has congratulated the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the Day of Russia. And today the creative potential of Russia, fidelity to traditions of friendship and tolerance, unification and patriotism are the basis of success in all future affairs and fulfillments, support of statehood and democratic development of the society».
Eduard Kokoity has underlined that South Ossetia was always consecutive in its adherence to unity and friendship with Russia, aspiration to interaction and concord. «I am convinced that the recognition of independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation has laid down the stable foundation for all-around development of bilateral relations, expansion of relations in political, cultural, trade and economic spheres», - has underlined Kokoity. The President of South Ossetia has wished the President of Russia good luck, health and successes in his work for the welfare of Russia and the Russians, and the people of the Russian Federation – peace, well-being and prosperity.
