The head of the official representative office of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the ceremonial rally to mark the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Tiraspol from the Nazi invaders.
Yankovsky also laid flowers at the renovated Tiraspol Memorial of Glory.
During the rally, a minute of silence was observed in memory of those killed during the occupation and liberation of the capital of Transnistria.
Vitaly Yankovsky took part in the events at the invitation of the state administration of the city of Tiraspol and the city of Dnestrovsk.
