Servicemen of the Special Forces battalion of the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia honored the memory of Ruslan Besaev, perished in the special military operation

On Monday, the day of Ruslan Besaev's death, his comrades-in-arms gathered to pay tribute and memory to the heroic warrior who gave his life in battles in the Mariupol region as part of the special military operation.
At the ceremony of laying flowers at Ruslan's grave, his comrades-in-arms were remembering his heroism, fortitude and friendship.
"It was a time for grief, but also for recognition of his merits, which will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and respected him. Many words were said about how he inspired his comrades; how he was always ready to help. Comrades were remembering how Ruslan always put the interests of the team above his own ones.
Ruslan Besaev will always be remembered as a true hero who gave his life to defend the Motherland,” the press service has noted.
It was noted that Ruslan had shown exceptional courage and devotion throughout his life.
His service in the Ossetian battalion of the Peacekeeping Forces and in various units of the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia, including a motorized rifle battalion and a Special Forces battalion, left a bright mark in history.
Ruslan participated in combat operations to repel the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia in 2004-2008, for which he was awarded state and departmental awards.
In addition to his military career, Besaev was known as a talented athlete. He was engaged in freestyle wrestling and complex martial arts, becoming the winner and prize-winner of many prestigious tournaments, including a bronze medal at the CSTO Cup and silver at the international tournament "Alpha Cup".
