Mission of the International Сommittee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is realizing the water supply project in the village Khetagurovo, Tskhinvalskiy region, RSO. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the employee of the Mission on public relations Marina Tedety. «The inhabitants of the village Khetagurovo have problems with water supply, and heads of rural and regional administrations have addressed to us with the request to render them assistance in resolving this issue. Our experts have developed the relevant project and have started its implementing», - Tedety has noted.
As she has said, the project provides for works on improvement functioning of the water intake around the village Zar, replacement of separate sections of the water line Zar-Khetagurovo and installation of the new tank near the village Khetagurovo. «The present tank is very inconvenient for service. As embankment, silt is accumulated inside the tank, it should be cleared regularly and other preventive works should be carried out there. It’s difficult to clear the tank, by the reason of lack of special hatches», - has explained the representative of the ICRC. - Besides, by some reasons it is functioning not enough effectively, and we have decided to replace it». As Tedety noted, the works on elimination water leaks of the whole line had been already finished. Now, as she has said, the tender for choosing the contractor was declared; the contractor will be entrusted to carry out the next stage of works. «The following stage means working on improvement of functioning the water intake and replacement of separate sections of the water line Zar-Khetagurovo. After that the works on installation of the tank itself will be carried out», - Tedety has added. As she has said, the project realization will be completed this year. It should be noted that the project has been developed by engineers of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Earlier, while rehabilitating the Zar-Khetagurovo water supply system, ICRC has also complied with the request of rural administration and has provided them with water pipes.
