As the correspondent of IA "Res" has been informed at the Central Election Committee (CEC) of South Ossetia, the republic is ready for the presidential elections. "According to the law November 12, -the day before the election, - has been declared a ''day of silence''.
Today, all the canvassing campaign activities related to the upcoming elections are prohibited on the whole territory of the Republic. In this case all the electoral commissions will function as usual", - has been reported at the CEC. It has been noted there, that all the territorial election commissions and polling stations in the territory of South Ossetia, Moscow and Sukhum are ready for the elections. The Law enforcement agencies of South Ossetia have been transferred to more concentrated mode of service in order to prevent any public disturbances and provocations during the elections. It should be reminded, November 13, 86 polling stations will be opened for voting: 84 of them - in South Ossetia - one in Moscow - one in Sukhum.
