November, 14 Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia M. Akhba and Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev have been received at the CIS countries Fourth department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. During the previous contacts the ambassadors of the neighboring friendly states were informed on the end of negotiations between Russia and Georgia on the WTO issue; they were also acquainted with the main contents of the Russian-Georgian agreement on customs administration and monitoring of goods trade, signed in Geneva on October, 9, 2011.
The Russian side has emphasized that this agreement completely takes into consideration the new regional realities and does not infringe the status of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as the independent states.
