The border with Georgia will be sealed at the time of the elections in South Ossetia. As reported to IA "Res" by the law enforcement bodies, all the security forces in South Ossetia were transferred to the enhanced schedule of service until further notice.
"As part of the activities passing people through the points of simplified crossing of the state border with Georgia in the settlements Mosabruni, Artsevi, Sinagur and Karzman will be sealed from 20:00 April 7. Passing citizens through these points will be resumed after the polls have been closed on April 8, 20:00, p.m.", -IA "Res" has been informed at the KGB office. They have stressed that the activities are carried out by the need to ensure security during the presidential elections in the Republic of South Ossetia on April 8. More than 1000 police officers are involved in protection of the public order at the time of the republic's presidential election.
