After the 95.64% ballot processing in the presidential election of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov is retaining leadership; he has collected 53.74% of voters (15,257 votes). This was reported by the Chairman of the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia Bella Plieva at a briefing of the CEC Information Centre.
David Sanakoev has gained 42.98% of voters (12,272 votes). 0.97% (276 people) voted against all.
The CEC is intending to announce the following preliminary results at 10:00 am. Then the Central Election Committee will establish the voting results and draw up a protocol in five days, after which it will officially publish them.
The inauguration of the new president will be held on the tenth day after the announcement of the official results.
