The State Duma Speaker: Inter-parliamentary ties between Russia and South Ossetia should be developed

A meeting of the parliamentary delegation of South Ossetia headed by the Acting Speaker of thelegislative body of South Ossetia Zurab Kokoev with the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin has been held in Moscow. During the meeting Naryshkin called for further strengthening of ties between the parliaments of both countries.

According to the State Duma Speaker, implementation of the agreements on inter-parliamentary cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia is in full swing.
"Russia highly appreciates the contribution made by the Parliament of South Ossetia to the presidential elections in this country. Besides, members of the Parliament of South Ossetia have been contributing significantly to strengthening internal unity in the implementation of plans for reconstruction and development of South Ossetia ", - said Naryshkin. In turn, Kokoev thanked Naryshkin for his support being a head of the Presidential Administration and a chairman of the State Duma. "You stick to your word - the word of a friend" – underlined the Acting Speaker. Kokoev also called for further strengthening of the inter-parliamentary contacts with Russia.
