South Ossetia insists on improving the prison conditions of its citizens kept in the Georgian jails. According to the Deputy Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty, the South Ossetian delegation has made this declaration at the today's regular meeting of participants of the Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI).

"We`ve said that we insist on changing the conditions of our prisoners, in particular, enabling them more frequent visits of their family members, allow them making calls to South Ossetia and get medicines," - said Gagloyty.
According to him, the South Ossetian prisoners kept in Georgian jails can meet with their families only once a year.
"Administration of the prisons does not permit the prisoners to make calls to South Ossetia, as well as to send them drugs - said the deputy ambassador. – The Georgian participants took note of our information; they asked usto write these problems on paper in more detail."
Gagloyty has added that from among the imprisoned citizens of South Ossetia kept in the Georgian jails, at the meeting , in particular, was discussed the fate of two citizens .
"They have serious health problems, and we found it useful their release so that they could be treated in their homeland," - said Gagloyty.
He has also stressed that during the meeting the South Ossetian side has not received response to the question about the fate of the missing South Ossetian citizens.
"This issue is constantly raised at the MPRI meetings. But we have not yet received the answer to the question whether Georgia began a criminal case on the fact of five missing citizens of South Ossetia. And despite the fact that these citizens were kept at a certain time in the law enforcement agencies of Georgia, which is concluded by Thomas Hammerberg expert committee, (Supreme Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights - Ed.) ", - said Gagloyty.
He has added that the South Ossetian side welcomed the decision of the recent incident, which took place at the border of South Ossetia and Georgia.
"Our citizen Soslan Kokoev lost his way in theneighborhood of the Georgian frontier settlement Koshka and so he found himself in Georgia. After our appeal to our counterparts he was promptly released, "- said the deputy ambassador.
Concerning the difficult situation in the village Zardiantkari, Gagloyty has noted that this issue is still unresolved.
It should be reminded that on June 29 the Interior Ministry of Georgia moved its police station a few hundred meters closer to the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, to the village of Zardiantkari (Georgia). This fact caused much tension among the dwellers of this village.
It should be noted that the meeting was held within the framework of MPRI at the border of South Ossetia in the Georgian village of Ergneti. The meeting was attended by representatives of South Ossetia, Russia, Georgia, the EU and the OSCE.
