By the end of November the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will complete the implementation of the projects of water supply system in the villages of South Ossetia, planned for 2012.
This has been told IA "Res" by the employee of the ICRC Public Relations Department Marina Tedeti. According to her, the ICRC will finish to lay water pipes in the villages by the end of November.
"The works were interrupted for a short time due to temporary stoppage of the import of the construction material, because of delay in the formal extension of the ICRC's activities in South Ossetia, which is the basis for importation of goods within the frames of assistance to the population, "- said Tedeti.
She has recalled that this year the ICRC implemented the projects for restoration the water supply system in the villages of Sarabuk, Mugut, Satikar, Ortev, which had been facing serious problems due to the lack of drinking water for many years.
"In making a decision on the implementation of water projects the ICRC is also based on the request of the residents, local administration, as well as on feasibility of the project," - underlined the ICRC representative.
