Professional boxer from South Ossetia Marat Kulumbegov scored another victory in his tenth rating match.
This has been said the news agency "Res" by a coach of the athlete Robert Pliev.
"The fight was held yesterday in Hollywood (USA - Ed.). The rival of our fellow citizen was 34 years old American boxer Billy Bailey. To date, he fought 27 bouts. 12 of them he won, and four of his wins are KO`s- said Pliev.
According to him, an athlete from South Ossetia gained an early victory.
"In the fourth round Kulumbegov`s blow with his left hand got quite the head of his opponent and sent him down - said the official. - Despite the missing slog Bailey got up and continued to fight. But the Ossetian fighter`s exact combination of a left-right again sent the American boxer down on the floor of the ring. Then the referee decided to stop the fight. "
It should be noted that this is the ninth victory of Kulumbegov out of his ten professional boxing bouts. In six fights South Ossetian athlete won a victory by knockout.
The athlete is 22 years old. He performs in the super weight class (up to 76.203 kg).
Until 2010, Kulumbegov was trained by the Ossetian master of sports of the international class, the chief boxing coach of the Public and State Athletic and Sports Association "Youth of Russia" Robert Pliev. In the professional boxing Kulumbegov made his début in March 2011.
Since 2010 the athlete has been training in Kiev and is representing the promotional company «Elite Boxing Promotion».
Kulumbegov is trained for the fights by coaches Victor Sidorenko and Vladimir Khodakovsky.
