One can again observe a policy of double standards in the PACE report on the aftermath of war in August 2008.
This has been said IA "Res" by Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Stanislav Kochiev, commenting on the report of the PACE on the humanitarian consequences of the war in August, which will be presented next week in Strasbourg.

"We've already been through that. They do not answer the question, who is the initiator of the war, in whose territory it was conducted, the damage caused to our Republic. This report does not claim to be objective, and yet, because the author has never been to South Ossetia ", - said Kochiev.
According to the speaker, for some reason, when the issue of the recognition of Kosovo was being resolved, these issues were not raised.
"Therefore, it is difficult to me to explain the political maneuvers of this organization. Again, there is a policy of double standards, the biased and one-sided discussion of the findings, "- said Kochiev.
It should be noted, that January 21 the PACE winter session will be opened in Strasbourg, where in particular, will be submitted the report of the Swedish parliamentarian Tina Aketoft "On the Humanitarian Consequences of the War between Georgia and Russia in 2008".
The document, which will be considered by the Assembly, contains specific proposals to Russia, Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia to improve the situation of the internally displaced persons in the region and to address other humanitarian issues. In the draft resolution Tina Aketoft has also suggested to "accelerate the hearings of the interstate affair "Georgia against Russia "in the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights), which is currently under consideration".
