In Georgia, three and a half months later, is continued the understanding of the causes and results of the October parliamentary elections.

"The main and the most generalized conclusion is that the situation has changed very little in terms of real life. Openness and pluralism increased in politics, the media, non-governmental sector, but it is not enough for anyone, except a small group of people, who are directly involved in the processes. The common people, of course, are watching the political battles with pleasure, but by and large they do not care - and in terms of the general population, there are no dramatic changes, neither better, nor worse,"- writes February 7 the Georgian expert Tengiz Ablotiya in the article "Dogs and Wolves" in the pages of the Georgian data- analytical portal "Georgia Online ".
"National Movement is in opposition, and Micha cannot racket entrepreneurs; he even can`t afford an extra light bulb in his residence. The dreamers have realized that the elections are over, and the reduction of tariffs and prices has remained a daunting task, "- the author notes. In his article he compares Ivanishvili and his supporters to dogs, and Saakashvili and his supporters - to wolves. Moreover, he gives the wolves preference.
Against this background, the clouds are gathering over the mayor of Tbilisi, Gigi Ugulava – a man of Saakashvili. "According to the headmistress of the Public Relations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Nino Giorgobiani, the law enforcement officers are not going to visit the mayor of the capital for questioning and called on everybody to obey the law and cooperate with the investigation. As Giorgobiani reported "MediaNews," the law enforcers would not also go to the office of the United National Movement for questioning the parliamentary majority. "We're not going to come, we are addressing to everybody to respect, obey the law and cooperate with the investigation," - added Nino Giorgobiani" in "Georgia Online," February 10.
Meanwhile, with the recent stabilization, internal conflict in Georgia between Saakashvili's team and people Ivanishvili has exacerbated.
Thus, the parliamentary majority, represented by a coalition of Ivanishvili "Georgian Dream" has not allowed the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili to make his traditional annual speech from the rostrum of the parliament , from which ten years ago, during a session Saakashvili ousted the then-President Eduard Shevardnadze and drank his tea. Saakashvili decided to speak at the National Library, but was also stopped. Then he locked himself in his residence and made his speech there.
Meanwhile, dramatic events unfolded in front of the National Library. Supporters of both political leaders of Georgia came to blows. As a result, a supporter of Ivanishvili Gela Mamaladze slapped the Georgian MP Chiora Taktakishvili and Sergo Ratiani and a citizen Giga Nasaridze .
"Prosecutor demands to sentence Gela Mamaladze to measure of restraint upon the physical insult of deputies Chiora Taktakishvili, Sergo Ratiani and a citizen Giga Nasaridze " - writes "Georgia Online" in the article "Prosecutor demands to sentence Gela Mamaladze to preventive punishment." The same publication writes: "The head of the organization "Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights" Nana Kakabadze, whom representatives of the "National movement" consider an organizer of the action outside the National Library, where was broken Taktakishvili`s nose, has declared that the protestor arrested for causing physical abuse, did not hit her, but he hit another man. It is hard to say, why the "human rights activist" believes that one cannot beat a deputy, but can beat others."
West, of course, is upset over another failure of its protege and frowned.
High Commissioner of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and EU Commissioner for enlargement and neighborhood policy Stefan Füle expressed outrage of the incident occurred on February 8 at the National Library. This is said in a statement posted on the official website of the European Union. "The European Union believes that the democratic future of Georgia requires any political force and institution to be treated with respect. We are also outraged that there is no agreement on the issue of redistribution of power between the "Georgian Dream" and the "National movement," in particular, because of the incompleteness of the constitutional issues and the transformation into open confrontation of the annual report of the President at the Parliament. The legislators of the National Movement were attacked by demonstrators gathered to hear the president's speech. The EU believes that for the future of the Georgian democracy it is essential that all political parties and institutions to be treated with due respect, as it corresponds to our common European values,"- is said in the statement. Catherine Ashton and Štefan Füle call on each political force in Georgia to refrain from the use of state institutions and political processes to the party's interests."
Georgian expert on the Caucasus George Mamulia predicts his homeland tough tests this spring. In an interview with Leila Naroushvili, answering the question, "Ivanishvili constantly appeals to the fact that they beat the system of lie and violence, so everything in the country will be calm. How do you assess the current situation in Georgia?" The expert has noted:" As the calm before the storm, which is expected this spring, when most people of Georgia will realize the error of their choice. No matter what Ivanishvili has said, he inherited from the ''nationals'' a state with the well-functioning government institutions. Of course, the huge social problems that existed then and now, as the results of the elections, have required more thorough approach. No matter how it was unpromising in terms of long-term economic interests of Georgia, one should have focused not only on the long-term, but also on the short-term projects, if only they could somehow alleviate the life of the population. The more, that socialist ideas, which are fed by human urge towards parasitism, are becoming popular all over the world" (article "The Georgian authorities should think about the image of the country in the North Caucasus").
They can`t do without oddities.
"Georgian President is smitten with remorse every night. This was said by Mikheil Saakashvili today, February 8, at the presidential residence in Tbilisi, answering the journalists' questions after his address to the nation. "Conscience gnaws me every night. I'm not kidding. Generally, if all the officials do not think about what they are doing, and do not get angry at themselves, saying - what an extraordinary man, or woman I am, things are in a bad way with him and his organization, "- Saakashvili said.
It should be reminded, that the president has addressed today to the nation from his residence in Tbilisi after the parliamentary majority boycotted his annual report, scheduled for today,"- is said in the article," President of Georgia is smitten with remorse every night," on February 8, 2013.
In desperation, Saakashvili said he was ready to meet with the prime minister to consider the parameters of cooperation. But the top leadership of Georgia does not believe his words.
"Mikhail Saakashvili likes to make good statements, but then he can take the opposite steps," - said the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs Tedo Japaridze. This writes the Georgian news agency "MediaNews" in the article "Saakashvili likes to make good statements, but then he can take opposite steps'' - Tedo Japaridze," February 10, 2013.
Saakashvili`s offer, according to the same media (article "The press service of the premiere has not any information of any decision in connection with the President's proposal," February 10, 2013) was followed by the reaction:
"The press service of the Georgian Prime Minister, has not yet the information about the reaction to the appeal of President Mikhail Saakashvili to Bidzina Ivanishvili. Speaking to "MediaNews," a spokesman Nonna Kandiashvili commented the President's statement, according to which he had invited the Prime Minister and his team to conduct a dialogue. "I do not know whether Mr. Bidzina acquainted himself with this statement. I have no information about his decision. As soon as the decision is made, we will issue a statement, "- said Nonna Kandiashvili.
It should be reminded that the Georgian president has commented on the statement of the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, that he is ready for relations with the president and his political team with observance of the principles of the Constitution and compromises "for the good of our common homeland." As responded by Mikhail Saakashvili, he welcomes the fact that yesterday the Prime Minister changed his usual call for dissolving the "United National Movement" and suggested to have a dialogue with my team and the parliamentary opposition. As stated by Mikhail Saakashvili, he is ready on Monday to consider together a number of legislative issues, including constitutional amendments and other important initiatives that require a consensus on ways to ensure the peaceful coexistence of the different institutions."
As you can see, Saakashvili is a man with whom doesn`t want to have a dialogue even his own government.
Unfortunately, this is not seen from Europe...
