A native of South Ossetia Soslan Ramonov, a member of the national team of Russia won the silver medal of the tournament Freestyle Wrestling World Cup – 2013 held in Iran.

"As IA "Res" was informed at the information-analytical department of the Committee on Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of South Ossetia, Ramonov had performed in the weight class up to 66 kilograms. During the first round of the competition were held fights between the teams of Russia and Azerbaijan. Ramonov defeated Ruslan Dibirgadzhiev. When met the teams of Russia and Turkey, Ramonov conceded victory on points to Yakup Gore.
The team of the Russian Federation ranked the second at the tournament, conceding victory in the final to the hosts of the tournament - Iran's national team by a score 6-1.
In 2013 and 2012 Soslan Ramonov won bronze at the traditional international wrestling tournament "Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin". He is also a bronze medalist of Russia in 2012.
Currently, the athlete trains in the Central Army Sports Club in Moscow under the direction of the South Ossetian prominent wrestlers Ramonov Stanislav and Anatoly Margiev.
