Until the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) recognizes the independence of South Ossetia and the delegation of the Republic has an opportunity to state its position at the PACE sessions, it`s unacceptable to speak of any objectivity of this international organization.

This was stated by Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Yuri Dzitstsoity in his interview with IA''Res, ''commenting on the South Ossetian parliament`s refusal to permit the PACE delegation to enter into the territory of the Republic.
"We rejected the entry of the PACE representatives into South Ossetia, for several reasons. First, they have applied to us as not to the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia, but as if the state of South Ossetia does not exist, using the terms ''de facto South Ossetia,'' de facto ''president'' ,''de facto ''the chairman of the parliament,"- said Dzitstsoity.
The actions of PACE representatives are based on the fact that South Ossetia, as a state, does not exist, and consider it as part of Georgia.
"This means that PACE is not engaged in its direct duties – that is, human rights, as this authoritative international organization is dedicated to be engaged in human rights. Numerous human rights violations took place in South Ossetia, and PACE, rather than to consider each case, is playing politics, and on the side of our enemy, "- underlined Dzitstsoity.
He was puzzled by the position of PACE, that Georgia had not committed aggression against South Ossetia.
"PACE pretends that no genocide took place, that over these 20 years we were not at war, were not fighting for our independence - said Dzitstsoity. - The PACE representatives have ignored all these facts; they insist that there is some monolithic Georgia and the war in 2008 was between Russia and Georgia. Everything was quite the contrary, and we told them about it many times." According to the vice-speaker, PACE, at any cost, is trying to push its position, calling Russia an aggressor and Georgia - a victim.
"This position is not objective and discredits us. And we have been collecting materials on the facts of Georgia's aggression against our Republic in August 2008, on the events that forced Georgia to peace, to the recognition of our independence. For us, this is a very important and sensitive issue; we are unable to consider it like PACE, that is to turn it into some kind of political games, "- said the vice- speaker.
Dzitstsoity has noted that these reasons, according to which South Ossetia cannot receive the PACE delegation in its territory, were stated by South Ossetian parliament and submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
