A car of the Interior Ministry has violated the state border of South Ossetia - KGB

Statement of KGB of South Ossetia:

August 10, 2013 at 10: 45 near the settlement of Artseu in Tskhinval district, in sight of the European Union observers, the Georgian Interior Ministry police car crossed the state border and penetrated into the territory of South Ossetia.

When the vehicle was approaching to the state border, the border guards of the KGB Border Service of South Ossetia gestured to stop further movement in the direction of South Ossetia, however, this requirement was ignored, after which the border guards of the Border Service of the KGB of South Ossetia made a warning shot into the air, and the offenders returned to Georgia.
As a result of the investigation conducted by the representative of the KGB Border Service of South Ossetia in presence of the representatives of the Georgian police and the Mission of the European Union Field Office in Gori, the incident was settled. In this case, the Georgian side has acknowledged the fact of violation of the state border of South Ossetia, and that the KGB Border Service officers of South Ossetia shot into the air for warning purposes.
KGB of South Ossetia has declared that to avoid similar incidents in the future, Georgia has to accept the delimitation proposal made by the South Ossetian side.
