At the meeting of participants of Mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents the South Ossetian side once again initiated the need for a mutual release of prisoners kept in the prisons of South Ossetia and Georgia, said the journalists Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty.

"We have characterized the imprisonment of the citizens of South Ossetia in Georgia, as a legacy of Gamsakhurdia- Saakashvili - nationalist ideology, its triumph in a certain period in Georgia," - said Gagloyty. - We stated that the release of these people would be a significant sign, confirming that "the so-called new government of Georgia" withdrew from the legacy and practice of those years. "
According to Gagloyty, the South Ossetian delegation said that the use of the terms
"Tskhinvali region" and "Akhalgori district" is unacceptable with regard to South Ossetia as a whole, and its administrative and territorial units.
"We have stated that we do not know where are situated these administrative-territorial units, so we have no idea about how we can take part in matters related to them," - said Gagloyty.
At the meeting was also discussed the situation in the areas adjacent to the border of South Ossetia.
" We studied the safety criteria for the territory of South Ossetia in these areas, as well as the details of the investigation of the cases of South Ossetian citizens, missing since the war in August 2008 ," - said Gagloyty .
The next meeting of the MPRI is scheduled for October 18.
