Problems of liberal education were discussed at a scientific seminar held January 22-23 at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Tskhinval. The event was organized by the Moscow State Pedagogical University with the assistance of the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The purpose of the workshop is to promote and support Russian language abroad. To participate in the seminar in South Ossetia has arrived the delegation of the Moscow State Pedagogical University - Professor of the Department of Psychology of Education Zagrat Aygumov, Associate Professor of Russian language Alexander Grishchenko, Head of the Department for working with foreign students Sergey Aldoshin. The seminar was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia Elbrus Kargiev, the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Mikhail Stepanov, president of the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature of South Ossetia Zaira Tedeeva, teachers and students of South Ossetian State University and schools of the Republic. The workshop participants were delivered interesting lectures on sociolinguistics, ethnolinguistics and psychology, the lecturers told about the problems of ethno-cultural competence. In the framework of the event were also conducted creative and practical seminars. Pupils were acquainted with the conditions of entering the university, various forms of working with foreign students.
At the end of the seminar Michael Stepanov presented certificates to South Ossetian participants of the international contest "The best teacher of Russian literature abroad" and a congratulatory address of the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Konstantin Kosachev to the finalist – a teacher of Russian language and literature of the secondary school №5 Alla Muldarova.
The event participants and the guests from the Russian Center of Science and Culture have also seen the expanded photo exhibition "Russia- the world scientific power."
