Assistance provided by South Ossetia to residents of the Luhansk People's Republic and the Donetsk People's Republic, is purely humanitarian, said State Councilor to the RSO President Zhanna Zasseeva.
According to her, South Ossetia has not sent weapons to Luhansk.

"We have already sent a consignment of humanitarian supplies to residents of Luhansk, who are in temporary accommodation in the Rostov region. It consisted of 1000 sets of bed linen, pillows, blankets, and clothing items. Yesterday we sent clothes, toys for children and other things brought to the center of collecting humanitarian aid by our residents, "- said the State Councilor to the President. The next batch of humanitarian aid will include clothing, shoes and other household items.
"Our "weapon"- these are the things that can improve the living conditions of refugees. According to our information, they are mostly women, children and old people, "- said Zasseeva.
Recently the website Luganskie.com reported that "South Ossetia has recognized the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic and began to assist the LPR." According to this website, "several containers with weapons - sniper rifles, assault rifles, pistols and hand grenades will be delivered to Luhansk."
South Ossetian Defense Ministry issued a denial of this information.
