The new agreement between South Ossetia and Russia should wear maximally integrative. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov at a press conference organized by the state Committee of Information and Press of South Ossetia within the framework of the project "The open government".
"I have already expressed my opinion at the sitting of the political Council of the Republic. The name of the Treaty, in my opinion, should be like this: "The Treaty of Alliance, Integration and Entry into the Russian Federation". As the head of the Parliament I have already been said that it's wrong, affecting our Constitution. But I am deeply convinced that we need to ask ourselves: "what do we want?" If we want to be part of the Russian Federation, we must consider this agreement from this perspective," stressed the head of the Parliament.
If the vector of development of South Ossetia is directed towards the strengthening of sovereignty, continued Bibilov, "it is not necessary to sign a new Treaty with Russia, because the current one ensures security and social development".
"The Minimum program led by my party "United Ossetia", states "Two countries - one Ossetia", with the signing of a new treaty will be fulfilled. In any case, four Republic it is necessary to sign the agreement," he said.
Bibilov also spoke on inter-parliamentary cooperation of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, noting that this year had already been held meetings with the leadership of the State Duma and the Federation Council.
"We work efficiently with the State Duma and the Federation Council. Next year will be the visit of representatives of the Federation Council to South Ossetia. Within the framework of the joint work we hold consultations on our draft laws and other legislative acts," said Bibilov.
There is also a close cooperation with the North Ossetian Parliament. This year, according to Bibilov, was held a joint meeting of the deputies of North and South Ossetia.
"Next year there will be the arrival of our North Ossetian colleagues in Tskhinval", - said the head of the Parliament.
