Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoyev spoke at the International Conference "Crimea in the modern international context. The Forum of Friends of the Crimea."
The conference will be held November 6-7 at the Livadia Palace in Yalta.
Medoev welcomed those gathere on behalf of South Ossetia and conveyed the best wishes to the people of Crimea from the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.
In his speech, the Foreign Minister of South Ossetia also drew attention to the relevance of the topics discussed within the framework of the conference.
As reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry, the conference began with the opening of the session "Russia, the Crimea and modern international relations," in the course of which were discussed sanctions against Russia and the Crimea, the rights of nations to self-determination and the legitimacy of the all-Crimean referendum,.
Within the framework of the conference will also be held the session -"Youth diplomacy as an instrument for the development of international cooperation".
In the international forum are taking part 90 delegates from 30 countries, including China, Japan, Syria, Palestine, Israel, India, European countries. Among them are outstanding politicians, ministers, parliamentarians, representatives of the public and spheres of culture, business and the media.
