It has started the official visit of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov to Republika Srpska, during which the parties intend to discuss further cooperation between the two countries.
According to the press service of the head of state, the delegation of South Ossetia was met by the Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation Zlatan Klokich at the airport of the capital of the Republic - the city of Banja Luka.
Earlier Anatoly Bibilov arrived in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and then visited the Cathedral of St. George in the city of Novi Sad of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina - the Cathedral of the Bach Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The President of South Ossetia congratulated the bishop of Bach Irenaeus on the bright holiday of the Nativity of Christ and wished God's help in bearing a high service.
During the conversation, it was discussed the problem of protecting common Orthodox values, the need for joint efforts of the state and religious associations in resolving moral problems and neutralizing threats to the security of society in the spiritual sphere.
The South Ossetian delegation also visited the Monastery of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
The official visit of the President of South Ossetia to Republika Srpska will last from 8 to 13 January.
Within the framework of the visit, Anatoly Bibilov will take part in the celebrations dedicated to the celebration of the Republika Srpska Day and will hold official talks with President Milorad Dodik. One of the results of the visit should be the signing of a Protocol on cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republika Srpska.
It will also be signed a Protocol on cooperation between the party "United Ossetia" and the Union of Independent Social Democrats.
