The agreement on cooperation with South Ossetia will be the beginning of the great work in the sphere of economy, said the acting Minister of Economic Development of the Luhansk People's Republic Elena Kostenko.
"Economic cooperation is the establishment of relations in all sectors of the economy, including tourism, industry, trade relations and investment activities," - Luhansk Information Center quotes Kostenko.
According to her, South Ossetia and the Luhansk People's Republic are discussing promising forecast plans that are aimed at improving the well-being of the population of the two countries.
Kostenko has stressed that the ministries of economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Luhansk People's Republic will try to solve problematic issues in the economy to "help business development, find common points of contact."
"We expect to get an effective result from our positive decisions. The ultimate goal is to improve the welfare of our population," - Kostenko summed up.
Gennady Kokoyev, the Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia, told about the expectations of economic cooperation with the Luhansk People's Republic.
"We have no reason to doubt that our cooperation, which began last year at the 2nd Economic Forum in the Luhansk People's Republic and VDNKh, will continue and in the future we will count on projects that will help the economic development of the fraternal republics" , - said Kokoev.
In his view, the economy of the Luhansk People's Republic will contribute to the formation of the economy of South Ossetia.
Kokoev has noted that during his stay in the LPR the delegation of South Ossetia managed not only to communicate with representatives of the ministries and agencies of the Republic, but also to visit industrial enterprises. He has added that the experience gained by the LPR will be used in the sphere of industry in South Ossetia.
It should be reminded that today within the framework of the visit of the delegation of South Ossetia to the LPR has been signed an agreement on cooperation between the ministries of economic development of the two Republics. Elena Kostenko and Gennady Kokoev put their signatures under the document.
The delegation of South Ossetia has also held a number of meetings, including with the acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik.
