President Anatoly Bibilov discussed the development of football in South Ossetia with ConIFA Secretary General Sasha Durkop, who arrived in South Ossetia on a study visit.
As reported by the presidential press service, Bibilov thanked the head of ConIFA for his attention to the team of South Ossetia and stated his intention to develop football in the Republic.
"The South Ossetian team, unfortunately, does not have much success at the ConIFA tournament, but we should note the kind attitude of the organization towards the South Ossetian football team. We will make up for the problems that exist in South Ossetian football today, and in the future we will actively work with ConIFA," - said the President of South Ossetia.
According to the ConIFA Secretary General, the main purpose of his visit is to familiarize himself with the sports infrastructure in South Ossetia.
"I'm impressed with the stadium, the football school, and although it is not related to football, the Olympus sports complex. At the same time, I would like to see the same conditions for sports in the districts, because sport is very important for the people of South Ossetia," - said Durkop.
He has assured that ConIFA will try to contribute to the development of sports infrastructure in the districts of the Republic.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism Sergei Zasseev.
