Anatoly Bibilov attended a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Security Service Employees. The President congratulated the staff of the State Security Committee of the Republic(KGB), as well as the employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation. He has noted that the KGB officers always performed tasks of ensuring the security of the Soviet Union with great professionalism, and the KGB of the RSO since its creation has adequately managed to ensure the security of South Ossetia.
“The State Security Committee has impressive counter-terrorism results. A large number of terrorist attacks planned on the territory of South Ossetia was prevented. All thecommitted acts of terror were solved; the perpetrators were punished. The KGB officers also showed themselves during the direct aggression of Georgia against our Republic,” said the President.
He has called on the staff not to lose vigilance due to the fact that Georgia has revanchist plans and leaves no attempts of provocations. The President has also set the task to monitor the threats that arise in the far abroad.
Anatoly Bibilov on the Day of Security Officers has given the next military rank of Major General to the Acting Chairman of the KGB of the RSO Vladimir Khubaev. The President also presented the KGB officers with the medal "In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the people of South Ossetia" and conferred the honorary titles "Honored Officer of the Security Agencies".
