Italian deputies intend to come to South Ossetia as election observers

At the V Yalta International Economic Forum President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov met with representatives of Italy - a member of the Italian Parliament, Vito Comencini, and members of the Veneto Parliament, the press service of the head of state reports.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation and development of relations.

Anatoly Bibilov invited the Italian parliamentarians to come to South Ossetia as observers at the elections to the Parliament of South Ossetia.

“We will have parliamentary elections on June 9. I want you to come to us and appreciate the democratic nature and transparency of the electoral process. Official invitations will be sent to you,” the President said.

Vito Comenchini thanked for the invitation and noted that a group of observers would come to South Ossetia.

The meeting participants also exchanged views on a number of political issues.

Veneto MP Stefano Valdegamberi spoke about the notification received, which states that he is on the list of sanctions in Ukraine.

Anatoly Bibilov, for his part, added that his name was also on the lists, and stressed that “Ukraine may soon be able to push itself into isolation by such actions and remain without friends, while the Crimea, South Ossetia and the Donbass republics are expanding the circle of its partners every day.”

It should be noted that the head of the South Ossetian state came to Yalta to participate in the International Economic Forum.

Within the framework of the Forum, was signed an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea (Russian Federation) on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, as well as the Agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between the municipal entity and the city district of Kerch of the Republic of Crimea (Russian Federation) and the Administration of the city of Tskhinval (Republic of South Ossetia).
