Security issues on the border of South Ossetia will be discussed at the IPRM meeting

South Ossetia and Georgia will discuss border incidents on August 29 at a meeting in the format of Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM).

The next meeting of the format participants will be held in the area of ​​the Georgian settlement of Ergneti.

"Security issues in the territories adjacent to the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia will be discussed at the meeting."

As reported to IA "Res" by the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement, the meetings within the framework of the IPRM are held with the participation of representatives of South Ossetia, Georgia, Russia, as well as the EU observer mission (EUMM) and the OSCE. The last round in the IPRM format took place in July this year.

The South Ossetian delegation in the IPRM format is headed by Yegor Kochiev, Deputy Presidential Envoy for the post-conflict settlement.

Meetings in the IPRM format have been held regularly since 2009.
