Prosecutor General of South Ossetia Uruzmag Dzhagaev and the acting LPR Prosecutor General Sergei Gorenko signed a Cooperation Agreement.
"We prepared the agreement during the year, agreed on the text through diplomatic channels and came to a common opinion. The signed document will contribute to the joint fight against crime in both republics," said Dzhagaev.
According to him, the signed document obliges the parties by mutual agreement to provide universal and required assistance in the establishment and development of the two departments.
Gorenko, in turn, noted the friendly relations between the two republics, which, according to him, is evidenced by the meetings held at the highest level with the participation of the leaders of the two republics.
“With regard to the signed agreement, we have long gone to this, worked out a unified strategy and tactics. The signed document is aimed at improving the lives of our citizens, protecting the rights of legal entities and individuals in the two republics,” he said.
The leaders of the two departments also exchanged medals. Uruzmag Dzhagaev and the representative of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic Vasily Valiev were awarded medals "For Interaction". Dzhagaev, in turn, presented the leadership and a number of representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of the LPR with departmental medals "For Assistance."
