The Tbilisi regime posed a real threat to regional security, the innocent victims of which are ordinary citizens of Georgia living in the territory bordering South Ossetia
Information received by the state security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia indicates that the fact of the use of automatic weapons on November 5 in the Koda settlement of the Khashur municipality of the Shida Kartli region of Georgia, bordering on South Ossetia, is connected with an armed incident between the Georgian interior Ministry and the local Georgian population.
“According to the reports, the discontent of residents of the village of Koda with the fact of the putting up of the reinforced roadblocks of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the general escalation of tension, as well as the attempts by the Georgian police to establish Georgian flags on the heights prevailing over the village, became the cause of the conflict. "The domestic conflict escalated into an armed conflict, during which both sides used firearms, injuring two local residents. Georgian authorities carefully hide their health status." - The KGB said on Thursday.
The KGB has noted that immediately after the incident, residents of the settlement of Koda were pressured by representatives of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs "in order to force them to testify that the shootout was allegedly connected with the penetration of the South Ossetian intelligence group into the Georgian territory."
According to the intelligence agency, after a categorical refusal, the village of Koda is completely closed for access by Georgian and foreign public organizations, as well as the media.
"The appearance of the first wounded as a result of the so-called" Tsnelis crisis "staged by the Georgian special services is an eloquent confirmation that the Tbilisi regime posed a real threat to regional security, the innocent victims of which are ordinary citizens of Georgia living in the territory bordering South Ossetia.
Also noteworthy is the fact that official Tbilisi suppressed the causes and consequences of the incident in the locality of Koda, the presence of wounded local residents, as well as the rigid rejection by the population of the Georgian villages of Chorchan, Kobi, Koda and Atotsi of the Georgian leadership's policy of armed provocations and force pressure against South Ossetia, " the statement reads.
