Tskhinval and Vladivostok plan to sign a protocol on establishing twinning relations. According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, earlier Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia received a letter from the leadership of Vladivostok with the appropriate content.
“The protocol can be signed as part of the business trip of Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Medoev to the center of the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation - Vladivostok. The signing of the protocol will serve to strengthen friendly relations between the cities and expand cooperation in various fields of mutual interest. In addition, "the twinning agreement has already been signed between the cities of Vladikavkaz and Vladivostok in 2009," the press service said.
During the trip, a number of meetings of the Minister with the city leadership are planned with the aim of developing promising cooperation between South Ossetia and the Far Eastern region.
The trip will last until January 17.
