The famous Ossetian boxer Murat Gassiev postponed his debut fight in the USA. This, according to the newspaper "Slovo", on his page said an insider from ESPN Steve Kim.
“I have been told that Murat Gassiev will not perform on February 29th in a boxing evening card in Frisco, Texas. He had some problems finding sparring partners, so he had to postpone his heavyweight debut again,” Kim wrote.
In early February, Matchroom Boxing Eddie Herne officially announced Murat Gassiev’s readiness to speak out against American Jerry Forrest on the undercard of eminent American welterweight Mike Garcia and Jesse Vargas.
The last fight the Russian ex-champion held on July 21, 2018. Then he lost in the final of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) to undefeated Alexander Usik by unanimous decision.
After the defeat, Gassiev was supposed to fight with heavyweight Joey Daivenko in July 2019, but due to a shoulder injury he could not hold the fight.
