A meeting between Ambassador of the Republic to Russia Znaur Gassiev and Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations Sergey Cheremin took place in St. Petersburg, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
The meeting took place within the framework of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
“On behalf of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, Znaur Gassiev thanked Sergey Cheremin for his consistently kind attention to the Republic, in particular for a series of humanitarian actions addressed to the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Culture,” the press service said.
The issues of further cooperation in the sphere of humanitarian support for the RSO by the Moscow government were discussed.
"In continuation of previous projects, it is planned to transfer expensive equipment to the Republic's schools, which is necessary for pupils to study, as well as to provide targeted medical care to residents of the Republic and much more," the press service has concluded.
