A meeting of the operational headquarters on countering the spread of coronavirus infection in the Republic is underway in Tskhinval, chaired by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.
During the meeting was discussed the current epidemiological situation in the world and neighboring regions. According to the head of state, all decisions made by the South Ossetian authorities to counteract the penetration of coronavirus into the Republic were correct and aimed at maintaining the safety of citizens.
"There are those who are dissatisfied with these decisions, and this is understandable, not everyone likes restrictive measures. But we see that the measures we have taken, give a result. All tests carried out to identify coronavirus have yielded a negative result. For us, the most important thing is the safety of the population of South Ossetia. And this direction, we will do our best, "said Anatoly Bibilov.
The head of state gave a number of instructions regarding the provision of assistance to citizens who had found themselves in a difficult situation.
The government of South Ossetia on Friday extended the term of restrictive measures until April 30. At the same time, a government decree permits the resumption of activities to trade objects, beauty salons, hairdressers, ateliers and others. Restaurants, cafes, public catering facilities, swimming pools, entertainment centers and sports sections, children's attractions remain closed.
