The memory of the victims of the Georgian fascism was honored on Tuesday at a mourning rally in the village of Tsinagar, Lenigorsky district of South Ossetia - at the monument to the murdered residents of Tsinagar.

The leadership of the Republic, headed by President Anatoly Bibilov, representatives of the public of the Republic, villagers laid wreaths and flowers at the obelisk to the victims of Georgian fascism.

According to the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov, every year people gather at the memorial to bow their heads again to the memory of those who gave their lives for the bright future of the people who was fighting for the freedom of South Ossetia.

“The genocide of our people began in 1920 and ended in 2008. These guys also became victims of the genocide, like those killed in the Zar, Ered tragedies, etc. Unfortunately, we have not yet heard any word of apology from any politician in Georgia, while the Georgian fascists killed our people, old people, women, children. Their plans included cleansing Ossetia from Ossetians, but our heroes did not allow them to destroy us. Young people defended their homeland, their people. They protected us,” the President said.

The head of state noted that we should always remember our heroes, be grateful to them for a free state, for life.

The head of the district, Vitaly Mamitov, has noted that all seven guys were killed by the Georgian fascists.

“Every year we gather here to commemorate those killed by the Georgian fascists. Everyone remembers them here - and the older generation does not let the younger one to forget about them. We must talk about this tragedy so that everyone knows how we gained the independence, ”Mamitov said.

Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Tadtaev has also noted that the Tsinagar guys gave their lives for the freedom of the Republic.

“Every Ossetian is obliged to remember the heroism of these guys, to know those who gave their lives for our freedom. Thanks to such simple guys, South Ossetia gained freedom,” the Speaker emphasized.

The events of April 28, 1991, have been reminded by a resident Zoya Valieva. She told about how in the village they learned about the deaths of seven young defenders, comparing this incident with the Zar tragedy.

Otar Margiev, Givi Bibilov, Slavik Chertkoev, Zaur Khubulov, Otar Khubulov, Tengiz Dudaev and Taimuraz Khubulov were peaceful people who were engaged in the hard work of a villager, cultivated the land, grazed cattle and did no harm to anyone. On April 28, 1991, they tried to save the cattle of the village from theft - Georgian bandits raged in all the border villages. The memory of them will live not only among the residents of Tsinagar, we all must remember every bloody page of our history. In order not to repeat the brown Georgian plague.
