The operational headquarters in South Ossetia has determined a schedule for the delivery of goods to the Republic

The border between South Ossetia and Russia in accordance with the decision of the operational headquarters to counteract the spread of coronavirus will be closed until May 25 for the RSO citizens arriving through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"I think people who remain outside their homeland will treat the decision of the operational headquarters with understanding in connection with the current situation. In addition, food and building materials will be transported to the Republic according to a certain schedule. And on Sunday every week the customs post in Ruck will be completely closed for disinfection work, ", Anatoly Bibilov told reporters following a meeting of the headquarters on Friday.

The restrictions do not apply to citizens of the Russian Federation - drivers of vehicles engaged by authorized state bodies to provide the Republic with food and essential goods, medicines and building materials.

"Determine Thursday and Saturday for the import of building materials into the Republic necessary for the implementation of the Investment Program, also determine Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for the import of other goods, including food, medicine and more. This does not apply to emergency trips through medicine. In addition, citizens are allowed to leave the Republic who need to go one way, "the President said.

The head of state began the meeting of the operational headquarters with congratulations to the citizens of the Republic on the holiday celebrated on May 15 – the Day of Ossetian language and literature, noting the importance of developing and preserving the native language. In addition, Anatoly Bibilov congratulated the hero of the day - Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev on his 60th birthday.

"You have made a great personal contribution to the development of the Republic. Please accept our sincere congratulations," the President said addressing Medoev.

It was noted that the head of the Customs Committee Murat Tskhovrebov is also celebrating his 50th anniversary.

Summing up the meeting, the President once again called on officials to interact, "all structures should work as a single organism."
