In South Ossetia over the past day, one new case of coronavirus was detected in an Emergencies Ministry cadet, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res" on Friday.
A cadet of the Ministry of Emergencies arrived with a group from Russia and was quarantined in a medical institution, all other cadets will also be tested," Gagloeva said.
According to her, two more citizens who recovered from the coronavirus were discharged from the infectious disease’s hospital within a day. On the morning of May 29, there are 7 people in the isolation ward of the Republican Medical Center.
“Of the 8 tests carried out during the day (1307 in total), one showed a positive result,” the sanitary doctor said.
According to Gagloeva, 102 people are in medical institutions of the Republic, and 122 are under quarantine. The day before, another 40 cadets arrived in the Dzau hospital, who will be tested these days.
The first three cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6.
Last week, the government of the Republic decision to extend the closure of the border between South Ossetia and Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to citizens of South Ossetia returning according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Republic.
At the same time, on May 25, public transport began to operate, cafes, restaurants, children's entertainment centers, sports facilities, libraries, hotels and motels opened.
