The Ossetian diaspora in Turkey sent the humanitarian aid needed in the fight against COVID-19 to their homeland in Ossetia.

As reported to IA Res by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs of the Republic, Georgy Totchiev, humanitarian aid includes personal protective equipment: a thousand reusable masks, 630 protective suits, 330 respirators.

The assistance was provided with the assistance of Sadrettin Kusov, Chairman of the Ossetian society. Ministry of Health expressed gratitude to the Diaspora, noting that the Republic needs stocks of protective equipment.

“The assistance will replenish the reserves of the Republican multidisciplinary center,” the Minister said.

In South Ossetia, 66 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, of which 34 citizens have been recovered.
