There are no new cases of coronavirus in South Ossetia during the day; in total, 36 people (38 a day earlier) are diagnosed with COVID-19, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the Committee for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Welfare of the population, told IA “Res” on Tuesday.
She has noted, that the day before one patient recovered from the coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital, another one was deregistered.
“Nine tests were conducted during the day, all of them are negative, in total about 2 thousand were conducted over the entire period,” Gagloeva noted.
The first three cases of infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5.
"According to the data of June 16, there are 36 patients with laboratory-confirmed coronavirus in the Tskhinval Infectious Diseases Hospital. In total, there were confirmed 77 coronavirus patients during this period, 41 of them have recovered and have been discharged, one has been deregistered," Gagloeva said.
More than 253 people are under the supervision of physicians, of whom 144 are in medical institutions of the Republic, and 26 are on self-isolation.
