Ossetians living in Europe paid tribute to the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people in 1920 with a minute of silence

Ossetians living in Holland and Belgium honored with a minute of silence the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people in 1920. Turning to compatriots by video link, Ossetians living in Europe joined the nationwide minute of silence.

“Today in South Ossetia declared a national mourning in connection with the 100th anniversary of the genocide of the Ossetian people. In 1920, the Georgian government committed genocide. Killed more than five and a half thousand people. At 12 o’clock a national minute of silence is announced, and we are residents of Europe - Belgium, Holland, your fellow countrymen have gathered here and are joining the minute of silence,” said Radion Pukhaev, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in the Benelux countries of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
