214 people are quarantined in South Ossetia; no new cases of coronavirus have been detected

65 people have been tested for coronavirus over the weekend by the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, all the results are negative, Deputy Head of the department Anna Gagloeva told IA "Res”.

According to her, 214 people are under observation in quarantine.

"In the medical institutions of the Republic as of Monday morning - 132 people, in the RMMC - 33, in the infectious diseases department - 36, while there are no patients with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, in the Leningor hospital - 18, in the Dzau hospital - 40, in the old maternity hospital building - 5 doctors from the "red zone", - said Gagloeva.

In addition, there are 57 people at the Alan Hotel (50 of them came to quarantine through the consulate last Friday), 23 builders are being quarantined in a special premises, and two ICC employees are being quarantined at the department.

4541 people have been tested for coronavirus in the Republic since May of this year.

In total, 89 people infected with coronavirus have been detected and recovered since May; all of them were in quarantine in the medical institutions. For more than a month (since July 17), no new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Republic.

Until August 31, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia have been extended, while since August 1, some easings have been introduced for a certain category of citizens of the RSO. This category of citizens (who have had coronavirus and who have antibodies) will be in their homes, but according to the receipt given by them, under the supervision of doctors.
