President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Mikhail Babich, accompanied by South Ossetian officials and members of the Russian delegation, inspected the Investment Program facilities in Tskhinval, including the operating and surgical building of the Republican hospital, the children's Republican hospital, the Republican maternity hospital, the university complex (put into operation), etc.
The participants of the inspection also got acquainted with the progress of construction of the Investment Program facilities - the building of school No. 3 in Tskhinval, residential buildings on the Br. Gubaevs street, 131, basalt plant, etc.
Following the results of the inxpection, Mikhail Babich has noted that the scope of work planned for the current year under the Investment Program will be completed on the assurances of the contractors.
"The main positive point is that the formation of the social base is being completed, a very technological modern medical cluster, a University, schools, kindergartens, and socio- cultural facilities are being created," Babich said.
According to him, today the task is to start creating economic objects.
"It is necessary to create conditions for attracting investment, to start implementing major investment projects, to create facilities where people will receive a decent salary, thereby increasing the level of welfare of the Republic. Everything we've seen today is still in progress. COVID has slowed us all down a bit, but contractors report taking into account the rhythm of financing that is provided today, the preparation of the regulatory framework, that they will catch up with the schedule and try to put the facilities into operation on time," Babich stressed.
The Russian delegation headed by Mikhail Babich is in the Republic for the second day. Russian officials visited the facilities of the Investment Program a day earlier. In addition, they took part in the opening of the main object of the Investment Program - the Iryston hotel. There was also a meeting on socio-economic cooperation between the RSO and the Russian Federation.
