In South Ossetia, 324 people have been tested for COVID-1 in two day; 148 tests showed a positive result, Marina Kochieva, the Republic's chief sanitary doctor, told IA “Res”.
“For two days, 148 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in South Ossetia: the day before yesterday- 65 new casesб, and yesterday - 83. In total, since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15), 827 citizens fell ill,” Kochieva said.
According to Kochieva, doctors also removed 114 citizens who had previously been ill with coronavirus from the register; their last tests showed negative results twice. In addition, 63 citizens were discharged from the medical institutions. The chief sanitary doctor of the Republic added that today, 181 people undergo treatment at the RMMC.
It should be noted that to date,11 people have died from coronavirus in South Ossetia.
Since April of this year, about 7 thousand tests for COVID-19 have been carried out in the PCR laboratory of South Ossetia. In the Republic, all secondary schools and educational institutions are closed for two weeks due to cases of coronavirus, seasonal SARS and influenza.
It should be reminded that on the instructions of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, Ministry of Defense of the Republic sent a letter to the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation with a request to send a military field hospital to the Republic.
On October 27, a military field hospital with 150 beds arrived in Tskhinval to treat patients with coronavirus infection. To combat COVID-19, it has everything you need: ventilators, intensive observation monitors, X-ray machines, ultrasounds, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
